BriSCA National Ministox
The National Mini-Stox Club is the original ministox formula. The brainchild of promoter Keith Barber, it originated in the mid 1970's at Long Eaton stadium. Racing at Coventry Stadium, Skegness Stadium, Buxton Raceway, Birmingham Wheels, Barford Raceway, Belle Vue, Northampton Raceway, Kings Lynn, Grimley Raceway, Sheffield's Owlerton Stadium, Scunthorpe Raceway and Onchan Raceway, Isle of Man - the Club promotes Stock Car Racing for boys and girls who are aged from 10 to 15 years old. The racing is based on Formula 1 and Formula 2 stock cars and is full contact (pushing in the direction of racing). Many of the top drivers in both Formula 1 and Formula 2 began their careers in the National Mini-Stox Club. The cars are strengthened and modified Mini's. The engines are restricted to 1000cc with some slight modification.
This season Coventry are looking forward to welcoming third generation racers as the Wainman dynasty continues in the form of Phoebe and Jnr Jnr Frankie Wainman along with Bradley Harrison, son of Paul Harrison all looking to start a bright and long stock car career.
