The countdown is on for THE biggest Unlimited Banger event this year in the North and Midlands. The Coventry Masters is a favourite on the Brandon calendar and this year is no exception. Rumours are rife with who will be taking to the shaleway in a bid to become this years Teng Tools Coventry Masters Champion.
We were delighted with the turnout last year and already we have just under sixty cars booked to appear for this seasons battle royale and as this major title is running alongside the mighty BriSCA FI’s and ORCi Ministox it is set to be a cracker.
Looking down the booking list we have a vast array of talent already booked in. Rob Speak is preparing a car for this event along with the recently crowned 2L World Champion and reigning Coventry Masters Champion Ricky Beasley and he will be determined to become the first banger driver to achieve this title twice. Can anyone stop the 167 driver taking the chequered?
474 Matty Threkhold, 22 Dave Vincent, 97 Alge, former Winner 269 Deano and 384 Goldie will all be ready to give the Beasley machine some serious competition and are all more than capable of achieving the major victory.
As always a decent prize pot along with lots of goodies from our sponsors for this event.
Start Time is 6.30p.m. Pit gate will open at 3p.m.
If you haven’t booked in already can you please contact Stu Kearsley on 07970 998 882 or simon@coventrystox.com

It may be over a week away however plans are already underway for this seasons prestigious Coventry Masters. This year sees the biggest banger event on the Brandon shale take place alongside the BriSCA FI’s on June 4th.
After a superb meeting last year with a vast array of talent and machines all vying to take that all important chequered flag and become the Masters champion we are already looking forward to what 2011 has in store.
The racing was fast and furious all night with Dave Vincent, Ricky Beasley and Wilf Speak working their way through to the front and taking the heat wins and Willy Blackwell securing his spot in the main event by claiming the last chance victory. After a tough qualifying process the top contenders were through and it was a hardened battle till the end. After a close tussle with the 2009 title holder Jack Overy, the trophy was held aloft by the one and only Ricky Beasley who was delighted with the win along with an abundance of prizes from the meeting sponsors plus a very impressive prize pot.
Every year we welcome drivers from far and wide with entrants from Holland joining in the action and hoping to take the spoils over the water and all being well we will have several foreign competitors this season. This meeting always draws the heavy hitters and the top names in the banger world with Northern stars 474 Matty Threkeld (2008 Masters Champion), 200 Steve “Noon” Farrell , battling it out with the Southern aces of 67 Mart “Sparky” Whitaker, 22 Dave Vincent, whilst the Midlands based boys are also heavily represented with the likes of 179 Shaun “Crazy Legs” Rushton and 60 Wayne French making the overall event a must see.
Bookings are now being taken and you can contact Stu Kearsley on 07970 998 882 or email simon@coventrystox.com The same ‘£10 to race’ applies however remember that all this money collected goes straight into the prize pot and we have already secured sponsorship from Teng Tools, Buildbase, A Plant and Mobilecashmate.com who offer very generous prizes for all the winners throughout the evening so lots up for grabs.
With this meeting showcased alongside the BriSCA Formula I’s it is looking to certainly being a date for the diary.
