The race is on for silver as the midway point of the season arrives and the next Coventry events sees the second round of the National Points Series - Start Time 7.00p.m.

17th August 2011 - Coventry Stadium will be featuring on the Premier Sports channel this evening as the coverage of the BRISCA F1 series continues tonight along with Mascar Racing coverage is from a rainy Knockhill. Close on 150 competitors, huge grids of cars in every race, if it’s family entertainment and motorised action you require this Summer Holidays, Coventry has it all!
The billiard table smooth shale way offers some of the fastest and most dramatic race action in the UK!
BriSCA F2 Stock Cars feature many of the Nations top stars in an entry approaching 70 and many more expected, 36 car heats and over 40 cars in the Grand Final will ensure drivers have to battle hard for vital World of Shale qualifying points.
A couple of Dutch drivers are also anticipated to join the grid which features most of the top racers in the UK. Jack Aldridge, the 2011 teen sensation, Andrew Palmer, Mark Simpson, Brian Shadbolt and many more will ensure fiercly competitive racing!
A Huge grid of the awesome BriSCA Ministox, piloted by 11 - 16 year olds and the breeding ground for the future will deliver plenty of action and the new generation Wainmans and Smiths’ battling it out for supremacy!
Coventry is becoming infamous for it’s Banger Racing - Big Grids of extreme motorsport anarchy! Around 40 cars a race - breath taking metal bending mayhem guaranteed!
If that wasn’t enough then we have the more sophisticated and very `hot’ UK Modifieds - American short circuit racers with zippy 1200cc Yamaha engines that literally scream around the shale way.
You can get up close with the cars and drivers - just take care, but the pit area is open to the public, we have excellent fast food and bars, free parking and a 2000 seat fully enclosed seated grandstand and covered stands at no extra cost!

BriSCA F1 Stock Cars return to Coventry MCM Stadium on Saturday 6th August in great numbers for the Veterans’ Association sponsored Don Round Memorial Trophy meeting.
Thirty-six Whites and Yellows for another round of their own Lucas Oil sponsored series And a measure of how popular this Brandon series has become is the distance some drivers are travelling to take part.
Making a welcome return from Plymouth in Devon is Timmy Farrell, his first outing in an F1 this season. There’s Lee Warner from Tregaron, Ceredigon, John Frost,Oldham in Lancashire, Paul Spooner. Darlington Co. Durham, Richard Bryan and James Clement who both hail from John Lund country, Clitheroe, Lancashire.
At the other end of the spectrum we have the superstars equally put in the mileage to compete at Coventry – Superstars Matt Newson, Norfolk, Frankie Wainman Junior , W. Yorkshire, Andrew Smith and John Lund both from Lancashire.
For these drivers, Saturday 6th August is a time to race for the sheer enjoyment of it. One World Championship Semi Final is over and those drivers who have qualified can relax, whilst those who have their Semi Final to face on shale at the end of the month can use the Brandon shaleway to get cars set up ready for their big test at Belle Vue.
A total of 71 drivers have booked to race at this August session and it is good to see first time star grade driver Dylan Williams-Maynard is ready to mix it with the more established shale racers. An exciting driver to watch is Dylan, as is our more local Superstar and top of the National Points table – Tom Harris.
ORCi minis – currently twenty-nine of these talented 11-16 year olds, again travelling from far and wide to race at MCM Stadium Coventry.

Start Time – 7.00pm.
Please note that a public draw for the National Points Shoot Out grid positions for the first round at Birmingham takes place at 6.50 in the presentation area.

This Saturday sees the Brisca FI's return to Brandon for their monthly outing supported by a fantastic turnout of ORCi Ministox - Start Time 7.00p.m.

A fortnight later we see Startrax back at the helm for their Midsummer Carnival night on the 13th August.
